The Transferability Level of Junior High School Students in Solving Geometry Problems

چکیده

Transferability indicates that learners are able to use their knowledge solve advanced problems. This study aimed elaborate in detail the level of transferability both near and far junior high school students solving geometry problems, reveal some factors causing errors doing transfer test. Geometry this covered solid prism pyramid. qualitative descriptive involved as many 157 Grade VIII one schools Sleman Regency, Indonesia. The data were collected through a written test taken by all participants interviews with 16 selected based on category results. results showed (1) average scores, acquired fair transferability, (2) item, could be categorized having (3) items, low (4) caused student were: (i) difficulties showing information what is known given context problem; (ii) stating asked problems; (iii) using conceptual, procedural, technical executing strategy solution; (iv) drawing correct conclusions. result have raised concerns regarding importance learning facilitate transferability.
